Biomass, though it is usually safe, can have some negative impacts on the environment.
1) Burning trash can be harmful if the garbage contains plastic. So, people, stop throwing away plastic bags!!!!!! Sure, you can use them, but how about RE-using them. It's called soap. Ever heard of it? Anyway, reusing plastic bags is not only good for the environment, but your wallet, too! Those extra dollars from not buying baggies stack up, and soon enough that new video game you've been saving up for will FINALLY BE YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEARN FROM TRADER JOE'S AND PROVIDE RECYCLED PAPER BAGS!!
2)Getting ethanol from corn and other plants so gas is cheaper sort of defeats the purpose of clean energy if all it's going to do is make polluting easier. Maybe, we could all not use cars????? I mean, that's what public transportation is for, right?????
3) Burning trash creates smoke. If you have not already realized that, then you probably should pay attention in class more often. This mini-problem can be solved by putting scrubbers on the smokestacks, or (even better) only have safe trash to burn.
But who cares about that?!
