Biomass is, as stated many times earlier, SUPER AWESOME! To add to it's amazingness, it has virtually no negative impact on the environment. In fact, it is unique in the fact the it actually helps it! I mean, what other energy source will get rid of your trash while powering your TV? Finally, we have a solution to our stinky planet-wide problem. WE BURN IT!!!!!!!!! Biomass can also be used to gather ethanol (which can be used to power cars) from organic matter like trees and corn, and even algae. Also, decomposing trash produces methane, which is also used to power cars as a "green" energy source. The only bi-product of "biogas" is a type of fertilizer.
The only things humans need to watch out for when using biomass as an energy source, is the burning of plastic. Plastic + fire = BAD. But that's not such a big problem, because there are plenty of alternatives. For example, REUSING PLASTIC BAGGIES (hint hint). Compared to the benefits of biomass, though, it is nothing.
